How to Connect your PDA to Biznet Hotspot
- Check and make sure that your Wi-Fi enabled PDA or Notebook is configured
correctly.
- In certain areas, several Hotspot Access Points may co-exist and operate
concurrently. Please do the following:
- Open your Wi-Fi Software Configuration Utility.
- Click on Available Network and choose Biznet_Hotspot as your main connection.
- Please check your SSID for adequate signal strength and move closer towards
Biznet_Hotspot Access Point to obtain better signal.
- If all settings appear to be correct and you still have difficulties on connecting
to Biznet_Hotspot, please contact Biznet Customer Care at: 021-570-8888 or Toll-Free:

PDA with Windows Mobile Operating System
With built-in Wi-Fi
To connect to Wi-Fi Network, all PDAs with PocketPC 2002 Operating System (or lower)
with built-in Wi-Fi shall be manually configured.

Select Start > iPAQ Wireless.

Select Wireless Control.
|
|
Make sure All wireless features ON.
|
Select iPAQ WLAN and create New profile (SSID).
|
|
Type Biznet_Hotspot in Profile Name and SSID box; click NEXT.
|
Select Use server-assigned IP address option to activate DHCP mode and click
NEXT.
|
|
Select Disabled on Wireless Encryption box and click FINISH.
|
Select STATUS to confirm Wi-Fi configuration on the PDA device.
Make sure that you get assigned IP Address: 10.59.1.XXX. If not, click Refresh
to obtain correct IP Address. (XXX is number between 1-255)

PDA with PocketPC 2002 Operating System and built in Wi-Fi capability
Many newer PDA with PocketPC 2003 Operating System has Zero Configuration Wi-Fi
capability which automatically detects available Wi-Fi Networks; just select
Biznet_Hotspot (SSID) and you will be connected to Biznet_Hotspot.
PDA with PocketPC 2003/2002 Operating System and Additional Wi-Fi Device
To connect to Wi-Fi Network, all PDAs with PocketPC 2003/2002 Operating System (or
lower) with additional Wi-Fi device/card shall be manually configured.
This sample configuration may apply to any PDA with PocketPC Operating System using
additional/external Wi-Fi Card/CF Card. (Example NETGEAR MA701 Wireless CF Card).

Insert your Wi-Fi/CF Card properly. After your PDA recognize the Wi-Fi/CF
Card, the Link LED indicator will blink. Once connected Link LED indicator
will light steadily.

Make sure that your Wi-Fi Card/CF Card manufacture supplied Driver has been
installed and configured properly. To verify, please select Start >
Settings > Connections > Network Adapters.

Select Start > Settings > System > MA701 Config Utility > Config
Select Biznet_Hotspot as your preferred Network SSID and click Apply.

Select Use server-assigned IP address and click Apply to activate DHCP mode.
|

To test your connection, Ping to: 10.59.1.1; if you get proper reply from
the Access Point, your Wi-Fi connection is ready.

PDA WITH PALM OPERATING SYSTEM |
Look for icon located at your Application Launcher screen to configure Wi-Fi connection.
Click Next and your PALM based PDA will search for available Wi-Fi Network.
Select Biznet_Hotspot (SSID) as your preferred connection and click Next to join Biznet_Hotspot.

Don't select WEP Encryption and click OK.
Your PALM based PDA is now connected to Biznet_Hotspot.
